Dyri

Dyri receives little individual characterization, but his repeated willingness to follow Sigurd across dangerous territory establishes loyalty as his clearest trait.

He belongs to a group whose relationship with Sigurd is noticeably warmer than the strict master-servant structures common elsewhere in the series. They complain, joke, and argue around him while continuing to follow his lead.

That loyalty becomes increasingly meaningful as Sigurd's original mission grows into a dangerous journey far beyond what any of them expected.

Dyri is physically capable of accompanying an armed Icelandic party through long-distance travel and dangerous environments.

He has enough familiarity with weapons and fighting to remain with Sigurd during the Baltic Sea conflict, though the manga does not establish a specialized technique or single out his individual combat ability.

His primary value is as a loyal member of a coordinated entourage rather than an elite warrior.

Dyri first appears after Gudrid escapes her arranged marriage and Sigurd sets out to retrieve her.
