Denim

Denim receives little individual characterization. He functions as part of Ingway's group rather than as an independent antagonist with a developed motivation or personal history.

His behavior reflects the gang's willingness to use armed force and participate in the hostage situation surrounding the Bostalk estate.

Denim is an ordinary human and armed outlaw. Canon does not attribute any supernatural ability, named technique or distinctive combat specialty to him.

His role is that of a conventional gunman, which helps emphasize how dramatically Vash's skill exceeds that of ordinary armed criminals.

Denim appears in the story adapted as "Love & Peace," which draws from Yasuhiro Nightow's original Trigun pilot chapter. The anime expands and alters parts of the pilot while retaining Ingway's gang as one of the armed groups involved.

Along with Gene and Marvin, Denim serves under Ingway during the hostage crisis. The conflict eventually places the gang, hired mercenaries and other armed parties around Vash, who attempts to resolve the situation without unnecessary deaths.

Denim's role remains minor, and canon provides no substantial independent storyline beyond his participation in this incident.

Ingway is Denim's gang leader during the "Love & Peace" incident.

Gene and Marvin are Denim's fellow members of Ingway's gang.

Vash the Stampede becomes involved in the hostage crisis in which Denim and the rest of the gang participate.
