D-6 is quiet, observant, and comparatively restrained among Avatar's more theatrical members. During discussions about the possibility of an infiltrator inside the cult, he pays close attention to Gray Fullbuster's explanation of his objectives rather than immediately accusing him.

He also shows loyalty to Avatar's cause. When the cult's operation begins collapsing, D-6 urges his companions to stand their ground rather than abandon the purification ritual.

Canon gives him little dialogue outside these moments, so his characterization is largely defined by vigilance, discipline, and devotion to Avatar.

D-6 possesses Black Magic, the broad magical discipline practiced by several members of Avatar's Mikage Branch.

Unlike specialists such as Gômon, whose Black Magic is developed into a specific torture-oriented technique, D-6 never demonstrates a named personal spell or clearly defined specialized application.

He is nevertheless treated as one of Avatar's combat-capable senior members and is confident enough to confront Natsu directly when intruders penetrate the cult's headquarters.

D-6 first appears among Avatar's members as Alok announces that the cult's time has come. He later participates in the meeting concerning a suspected Magic Council infiltrator and does not immediately accept accusations that Gray is the spy.

When Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, and Happy enter Avatar's base in search of Gray, D-6 moves to intercept them after other cultists are defeated. Natsu disposes of him quickly during the initial confrontation.

D-6 later rejoins the other Avatar members for their purification ritual and steps forward with Briar, Abel, and Mary when Team Natsu attacks the assembled cult forces.

After Avatar's plan collapses, D-6 attempts to keep the remaining cultists from fleeing. Gajeel and Panther Lily, operating with the Magic Council, defeat him and Abel before the surviving Avatar members are taken into custody.

Gray Fullbuster infiltrates Avatar while searching for information concerning E.N.D.; D-6 initially supports the argument that Gray may not be the Magic Council's mole.

Briar similarly speaks in Gray's defense and later fights alongside D-6 during the purification operation.

Abel is one of D-6's fellow Avatar cultists and later fights beside him.

Alok leads Avatar's Mikage Branch and directs the purification ritual D-6 supports.

Natsu Dragneel defeats D-6 during the intrusion into Avatar's headquarters.

Gajeel Redfox and Panther Lily later defeat D-6 and Abel while acting on behalf of the Magic Council.
