Conehead

Conehead is confident in his work as an experimenter. He takes considerable pride in Company 5's research and in the modifications he makes to experimental subjects, expecting his work to perform successfully under combat conditions.

That confidence can leave him visibly surprised when his predictions fail. During Company 8's attack on Company 5's facility, he expects the enhanced Setsuo Miyamoto to pose a major threat and is stunned when Arthur Boyle defeats him.

Conehead's established strengths are scientific rather than pyrokinetic. He operates specialized equipment capable of gathering information on unusual combustion phenomena and assists Company 5 with analysis of Infernals.

He is also involved in Company 5's experimental modification of Setsuo Miyamoto. The resulting Infernal displays enhanced combat capabilities, although the experiment proves insufficient against Arthur.

When a giant Infernal with an unusual internal structure appears, Conehead examines it for Hibana and determines that the creature possesses multiple cores. His ability to identify this feature demonstrates his practical knowledge of Infernal physiology.

Conehead first appears during Company 5's interest in Setsuo Miyamoto. While Shinra Kusakabe fights the newly transformed Infernal, Conehead accompanies Hibana and uses equipment to monitor the confrontation before Company 5 takes Setsuo into custody.

During Company 8's infiltration of Company 5's facility, Conehead accompanies the experimentally enhanced Setsuo and encounters Arthur. His confidence in the Infernal's modifications quickly collapses when Arthur destroys the threat.

Conehead continues serving Company 5 after the brigades cease their hostilities. He later analyzes the multi-core giant Infernal encountered in Company 5's jurisdiction and remains part of Hibana's technical staff.

Princess Hibana is Conehead's captain and directs the research operations in which he participates. He provides her with technical analysis and works within the scientific side of Company 5.

Setsuo Miyamoto becomes one of Conehead's experimental subjects after Company 5 captures him as an Infernal. Conehead is confident in the modifications made to Setsuo before his battle with Arthur Boyle.

Arthur Boyle encounters Conehead during Company 8's assault on Company 5 and defeats the enhanced Infernal accompanying him.

Shinra Kusakabe first encounters Conehead through Company 5's intervention in the Setsuo Miyamoto incident.
