Chun

Chun is stern, disciplined and intensely committed to his duty. He rarely changes expression and approaches the Mantinel investigation with little patience for institutional pride or attempts to obstruct his work.

He is willing to challenge extremely powerful witches despite lacking witch magic himself. His authority comes with an equally strong sense of responsibility toward the people serving under him.

Fujimine is one of the few subjects capable of breaking his composure. His anger toward her is deeply personal, although he continues trying to pursue her through the institutional mission of the Magikeepers rather than simple revenge.

Chun is an experienced Magikeeper capable of confronting witches without acquiring Majiks. Like his subordinates, he relies on specialized anti-magic training and Sacred Treasures rather than conventional witchcraft.

His position as commissioner reflects considerable operational experience. He can coordinate investigations, assess magical threats and command personnel including Higarashi, Boxster, Zayero and Minakata.

Chun demonstrates exceptional resilience when forced into direct combat against magically empowered opponents. Even after suffering serious injuries, he continues fighting rather than abandoning the objective.

Chun enters Mantinel after the Magikeepers obtain information concerning Fujimine. He requests cooperation from the Association and makes clear that his organization suspects an internal collaborator may be helping the wanted witch.

His investigation introduces a new dimension to the setting: witches are not merely protectors who acquire dangerous Majiks. They can also commit magical crimes serious enough to require a separate institution devoted to policing them.

Chun's hatred of Fujimine originates in an earlier attempt to apprehend her. Her magic manipulated him during that operation, turning the mission into a catastrophe for the Magikeepers and leaving Chun as one of the people most determined to bring her down.

Fujimine is Chun's principal target and the criminal witch he has pursued for years. Their history includes an earlier confrontation in which her manipulation forces Chun into actions that leave lasting psychological scars.

Higarashi, Boxster, Zayero and Minakata serve within the Magikeepers under Chun's leadership.

Monegold leads the Mantinel Witches Association that Chun investigates, placing the two institutional leaders in a tense but necessary working relationship.

Tricaputo later intervenes during the confrontation with Fujimine and provides crucial assistance against her magic.
