Higarashi

Higarashi is direct and professional during his work as a Magikeeper. He enters Mantinel as an investigator rather than a guest and is prepared for conflict with witches if the situation requires it.

His individual personality has received less development than the broader responsibilities of his organization. Much of his characterization comes through how efficiently he works alongside the other Magikeepers.

Higarashi wields twin Sacred Treasure blades. Like other Sacred Treasures, the weapons are produced from Shaka wood and can absorb magical energy from malicious witches.

His fighting style makes use of rapid movement and spinning slashes. The twin blades are effective against magical targets as well as human opponents, giving him a close-range specialization distinct from the weapons used by his fellow Magikeepers.

Higarashi is capable of using a spinning attack to cut through a Majik, demonstrating that Magikeepers can fight supernatural threats even though they do not acquire Majiks like witches.

Higarashi debuts when the Magikeepers enter the Mantinel Witches Association to conduct an inspection. Their arrival introduces tension between two institutions with very different forms of authority over magic.

The investigation becomes increasingly important as evidence points toward dangerous activity within Mantinel itself. Higarashi operates as one of the field members supporting the investigation rather than its overall commissioner.

Boxster is a fellow Magikeeper who works alongside Higarashi during the inspection of Mantinel.

Chun is the commissioner of the Magikeepers and leads the organization to which Higarashi belongs.

Minakata and Zayero are fellow Magikeepers participating in the same wider investigation.
