Asrid

Asrid receives limited direct characterization, but she is consistently gentler and less domineering than Halfdan.

Her presence provides a domestic counterbalance within the household. Where Halfdan frequently frames relationships through authority, debt, and inheritance, Asrid responds more naturally to Sigurd as her son.

She is capable of accepting changes in Sigurd's life even when they disrupt the expectations surrounding the family's succession.

Asrid has no established combat abilities, martial training, or specialized profession.

Her role is primarily domestic and familial within Halfdan's household, and the manga does not portray her as participating directly in warfare or political negotiations.

Asrid appears during the Eastern Expedition portion of the story, particularly around the domestic consequences of Sigurd's arranged marriage and later decisions.
