Asaka Mutsuba

Asaka is authoritative, proud and accustomed to getting her way. She describes herself as part of Mutsuba Town's elite and readily uses the enormous resources of Mutsuba Heavy Machinery to solve problems, compensate inconvenienced residents or push through decisions she considers necessary.

Her confidence can become arrogance. She does not always seek consensus before acting on behalf of Mutsuba Town, particularly when she believes her company's resources make her the person best equipped to handle a crisis. Even complaints from residents do little to diminish her certainty that she should remain in command.

Beneath that forceful behavior is a strong attachment to Mutsuba Town and the company she leads. Asaka takes threats to either personally and repeatedly commits Mutsuba Heavy Machinery's resources to protecting the community. She also respects determination, making competitive relationships an important part of how she evaluates other people.

Asaka commands the personnel, factories, heavy equipment and technological resources of Mutsuba Heavy Machinery. The company's influence extends throughout Mutsuba Town, allowing her to undertake enormous engineering projects and mobilize equipment on a scale unavailable to ordinary citizens.

She uses a FIRE Wyrm Deck built around demolition and construction machinery. Demolition Soldier Proto Crusher serves as her principal ace, while the broader theme translates the industrial character of Mutsuba Heavy Machinery directly into Rush Duel monsters. Her Dueling is aggressive and forceful, fitting her preference for confronting problems head-on.

Asaka is also capable of commanding Mutsuba Town's transformation into a spacecraft. When the town travels through space to confront the approaching Great King of Terror, she takes responsibility for the operation and uses the Valvelgear as part of the vessel's propulsion system.

Her industrial resources later become crucial to the development of Rush Dueling itself. Working with Yuga and Yuna, Asaka helps provide the manufacturing infrastructure necessary to recreate and distribute the game in their era.

Asaka enters the story when Mutsuba Town is transformed into a spacecraft for the journey to confront the Great King of Terror. Yuhi Ohdo objects when the Valvelgear attached to his Duel Disk is used to power the vessel, leading him to challenge Asaka to a Rush Duel.

She soon becomes a recurring authority figure and ally as threats involving aliens begin affecting Mutsuba Town. Her resources make Mutsuba Heavy Machinery indispensable during large-scale emergencies, while Asaka herself participates in Rush Duels when control of an operation is contested.

After Yuga Ohdo is displaced into this era, Asaka becomes one of the people responsible for recreating Rush Duels. Together with Yuga and Yuna Goha, she helps establish the technology and production needed for the format to spread, creating a direct link between their actions and the future from which Yuga came.

Asaka's attachment to preserving Yuga's future eventually drives her toward an extreme solution. Believing that history requires Otes to exist, she prepares an imitation of his mask and intends to assume the role herself. Yuhi ultimately becomes Otes instead, preventing Asaka from carrying out that plan.

Yuhi Ohdo initially clashes with Asaka over her use of the Valvelgear to propel Mutsuba Town through space. Their Rush Duel establishes Asaka's forceful leadership, but Yuhi Ohdo subsequently becomes one of her recurring allies. Their relationship becomes particularly important when both become involved in ensuring that the history leading to Yuga's future remains intact.

Yuamu Ohdo works with Asaka during the crises affecting Mutsuba Town. The two are capable of cooperating effectively despite both possessing strong personalities and their own ideas about how problems should be handled.

Yudias Velgear becomes one of Asaka's allies during the conflicts involving Earth and its extraterrestrial visitors. Asaka repeatedly places Mutsuba Heavy Machinery's resources behind efforts involving Yudias Velgear and his companions.

Yuna Goha is Asaka's friend, collaborator and frequent rival. Their strong personalities regularly produce arguments, but [Yuna Goha and Asaka work with Yuga to recreate and distribute Rush Duels, combining Goha's card-related resources with Mutsuba Heavy Machinery's manufacturing capabilities](#spoiler).

Yuga Ohdo becomes enormously important to Asaka after arriving from the future. [Asaka assists Yuga Ohdo in recreating Rush Dueling and becomes deeply invested in protecting the history that will eventually produce his era.](#spoiler)

Zaion becomes Asaka's corporate rival through the competition between Setsuri and Mutsuba Heavy Machinery. Their conflicting approaches to business eventually extend into Rush Dueling.

Asana Mutsuba is Asaka's counterpart from the later SEVENS era, sharing her surname, appearance, Japanese voice actress and connection to Mutsuba Heavy Machinery. The connection between the GO RUSH!! era and Yuga's future establishes both women as figures within different periods of the same company's history.
