Asaka Mutsuba

Asaka is authoritative, impatient and fiercely proud of Mutsuba Heavy Machinery. She expects people to act decisively and has little tolerance for behavior she considers wasteful, cowardly or disrespectful to the company and town she leads.

Her abrasive manner does not mean she is indifferent to Mutsuba Town. Asaka takes its welfare personally and readily mobilizes her company's enormous workforce and machinery when the community faces a serious problem.

She is intensely competitive with people she considers her equals. This is especially visible around Yuna, where professional disagreements and personal pride can turn routine decisions into confrontations.

Asaka commands Mutsuba Heavy Machinery, giving her access to extensive construction equipment, personnel and industrial infrastructure. The company is capable of undertaking projects on a scale that would be impossible for ordinary businesses in Mutsuba Town.

She is also an accomplished Rush Duelist. Her FIRE Wyrm Deck translates demolition equipment into monsters, continuing the Mutsuba family's association with heavy machinery.

Demolition Soldier Proto Crusher serves as one of her principal ace monsters. Her Deck emphasizes forceful offensive plays appropriate to her direct personality and preference for solving problems through overwhelming industrial power.

Asaka's engineering and organizational resources are often as important as her Dueling ability. When major structures, Duel systems or large-scale projects need to be constructed, Mutsuba Heavy Machinery becomes one of the central organizations capable of carrying out the work.

Asaka initially operates as the powerful president overseeing Mutsuba Heavy Machinery and Mutsuba Town. Her company's resources make her an important figure whenever the increasingly large conflicts surrounding aliens and Rush Dueling begin affecting the city itself.

Her significance grows dramatically through her connection to the establishment of Rush Dueling in this era. After Yuga Ohdo arrives from the future, Asaka works alongside him and Yuna Goha to recreate the Rush Duel system. Mutsuba Heavy Machinery provides the physical and technical resources needed to help establish and distribute the game.

Asaka becomes especially attached to Yuga and the future he describes. After his eventual return to his own era, preserving the timeline capable of producing that future becomes one of the motivations behind her later decisions.

During the final struggle over Otes's identity, Asaka constructs a replica of Otes's mask and intends to assume the role herself so that history will follow the course necessary for Yuga's future to exist. Yuhi ultimately disrupts that plan by becoming Otes instead.

Yuga Ohdo becomes one of the most important people in Asaka's life after arriving from the future. [Asaka helps Yuga Ohdo recreate Rush Dueling and later becomes determined to preserve the future from which he came.](#spoiler)

Yuna Goha is Asaka's friend, collaborator and frequent rival. [Together with Yuga Ohdo, Yuna Goha and Asaka establish and distribute Rush Duels in their era, although the two girls frequently clash over both their personalities and their attachment to him.](#spoiler)

Yudias Velgear becomes Asaka's ally through the conflicts affecting Mutsuba Town. She supports his group with the industrial resources available to Mutsuba Heavy Machinery.

Yuhi Ohdo repeatedly works with Asaka in protecting Mutsuba Town. Their relationship becomes particularly important when both are drawn into competing attempts to ensure that Otes exists in the history leading to Yuga's era.

Yuamu Ohdo is another of Asaka's recurring allies, although later disagreements over the future place the two on opposing sides of important decisions.

Teru Kawai works closely with Asaka during major construction projects and later becomes one of her Rush Duel opponents.

Zaion becomes Asaka's business rival when his furniture enterprise competes with Mutsuba Heavy Machinery. Their corporate rivalry eventually extends to Rush Dueling.

Asana Mutsuba is Asaka's counterpart from the later SEVENS era, sharing her surname, appearance, voice actress and association with Mutsuba Heavy Machinery. The connection between the GO RUSH!! era and Yuga's future places both women within the history of the same industrial family.
