Arystar Krory III

Krory is gentle, emotional and socially inexperienced. His upbringing in isolation leaves him unfamiliar with ordinary life, and he is easily embarrassed or overwhelmed once he begins travelling beyond his castle.

Combat produces a striking change in demeanor. When his Innocence reacts to Akuma blood, Krory becomes more aggressive and predatory, with sharpened features and an intensity that reinforces the vampire misunderstanding surrounding him. This is not a separate personality so much as the effect of his parasitic Innocence and fighting instincts.

He is also deeply compassionate. Krory's capacity to love Eliade despite the circumstances surrounding their relationship continues to shape him after he joins the Black Order.

Krory possesses parasitic-type Innocence concentrated primarily in his teeth. The Innocence detects Akuma and drives him to bite them, allowing his body to consume and purify Akuma blood without succumbing to the lethal blood virus that normally kills humans.

Absorbing Akuma blood increases his physical strength, speed and durability. His body becomes increasingly predatory in battle, and he can use his enhanced teeth and hands to tear into Akuma directly.

His Innocence extends through his blood itself. Krory can weaponize his blood outside his body, and it retains the ability to attack Akuma independently. This makes apparently fatal damage less decisive than opponents expect, since the Innocence can continue fighting through his blood even when Krory's body is incapacitated.

Krory spends most of his early life inside his family's castle, where nearby villagers believe he is a vampire responsible for attacking people. Allen Walker and Lavi investigate and discover that Krory has actually been instinctively attacking Akuma disguised as humans.

The investigation also exposes the nature of Eliade, the woman Krory loves. Eliade is an Akuma who has been living with him while concealing her identity. When the truth forces them into battle, Krory destroys her despite his love for her. He leaves the castle afterward and joins the Black Order, wanting to give meaning to what happened between them.

Krory subsequently travels with the Exorcists toward Edo and becomes part of the group trapped inside Noah's Ark. His confrontation with Jasdero and Devit forces him to discover how far his parasitic Innocence can operate beyond conventional physical limits.

The twins apparently defeat Krory after he remains behind so the others can continue through the Ark, but his blood forms an independent manifestation that continues fighting Jasdevi. He survives and later resumes service as an Exorcist under General Winters Socalo.

Eliade is the woman Krory loves and the person who shares his isolated life at the castle. She is secretly an Akuma, and the discovery forces Krory into a battle that ends with him destroying her. His grief over Eliade becomes one of the principal reasons he leaves home and chooses to live as an Exorcist.

Allen Walker helps Krory understand that his supposed vampirism is actually the work of Innocence. Allen's acceptance gives Krory a path toward becoming an Exorcist rather than continuing to view himself as a monster.

Lavi accompanies Allen during the investigation and becomes one of Krory's closest companions. Lavi affectionately calls him "Kro-chan."

Jasdero and Devit become Krory's opponents inside Noah's Ark. Their battle reveals that Krory's Innocence-infused blood can continue fighting independently even after his physical body appears defeated.

Winters Socalo becomes Krory's General within the Black Order after Krory formally enters his unit.
