Amelia Ann McFly

Amelia is blunt, independent and intensely determined. She has little tolerance for men who flirt with or touch her without permission and responds to Vash's advances with immediate hostility.

Her anger toward Gasback is much deeper. Amelia sees him as someone whose crimes leave innocent people to bear the consequences, and she rejects the romantic image of an outlaw who simply steals from the rich.

Despite her fixation on revenge, Amelia is capable of reconsidering her choices. Her encounters with Vash force her to confront whether killing Gasback would actually distinguish her principles from the violence she condemns.

Amelia is an accomplished bounty hunter with strong shooting skills and considerable hand-to-hand ability. She uses fast, powerful kicks effectively and is comfortable confronting armed criminals.

She suffers an unusual skin reaction when touched by men, reinforcing her aversion to unwanted physical contact.

Amelia also carries a specialized electrical glove inherited from her mother. The device was originally made by Gasback and becomes important during the final confrontation with him.

Amelia arrives in Macca City among the many bounty hunters expecting Gasback to attack Cain's heavily fortified city. Her personal determination to reach him distinguishes her from hunters interested only in the reward.

She repeatedly clashes with Vash because his refusal to kill directly contradicts her desire for revenge. As Gasback's robbery unfolds, Amelia witnesses the lengths Vash will go to preserve even an enemy's life.

Gasback is revealed to be Amelia's father. He abandoned her mother before Amelia was born, and the suffering that followed his criminal reputation fuels Amelia's hatred of him. After confronting him, she ultimately accepts Vash's argument and chooses not to kill her father.

Gasback is the outlaw Amelia pursues throughout Badlands Rumble. He is eventually revealed to be her biological father, whose abandonment of her mother lies behind Amelia's desire for revenge.

Vash the Stampede initially irritates Amelia with his flirting and pacifism. His refusal to abandon his principles eventually forces her to reconsider her own determination to kill Gasback.
