Synopsis
A hungry boy named Peck travels to the World Kitchen marketplace in search of Toriko, the renowned Gourmet Hunter. Peck’s village is being terrorized by Gerold, a formidable bird that has driven away the animals on which the community depends, and he hopes Toriko can defeat it and restore the local food supply.
Guided by Tom, Peck locates Toriko and accompanies him across the dangerous wilderness surrounding Log Mountain. The film presents a self-contained, anime-original hunt situated near the beginning of Toriko’s adventures, before his partnership with Komatsu becomes firmly established. Released shortly before the television anime premiered, it served as the franchise’s theatrical introduction.

New Characters
Peck — a knowledgeable but inexperienced boy from the Teran Plains who seeks Toriko’s help after a dangerous beast disrupts his village’s hunting grounds.
Peck's Mother — Peck’s supportive mother and a member of the community endangered by the disappearance of its usual game.
Teran Plains Chief — the leader of Peck’s hunting village, whose people depend upon the surrounding wildlife for food.
Gerold — an enormous predatory bird that settles near Peck’s village and drives away the animals sustaining its inhabitants.
