Zonzain

Zonzain is impatient, theatrical and surprisingly willing to indulge his opponent’s performance. He counts upward before attacking and is unimpressed by Kon’s heroic introduction, though he pretends otherwise to preserve the mood.

His behavior remains predatory despite the comedy surrounding the encounter, as he is actively hunting a defenseless soul.

Zonzain’s Hollow Shot fires concentrated reishi beams from his eyes, visually resembling streams of tears. He also possesses the physical strength and durability expected of a Hollow of his size.

He is not an Arrancar and has no Zanpakutō or Resurrección.

Zonzain chases a female Plus through Karakura Town and encounters Kon, who is occupying Ichigo’s body. Kon adopts the Karakura-Raizer identity and tries to stage a dramatic heroic confrontation.

After enduring Zonzain’s Hollow Shot, Kon defeats and destroys him with the Riser Beam. The following episode briefly recalls the battle.

Kon is Zonzain’s sole named opponent and the substitute hero who defeats him. The unnamed female Plus is his intended prey.
