Personality
Personality
Yoshimori is intellectually curious and deeply committed to archaeology. Ancient Egyptian artifacts and unexplained discoveries command much of his attention, making him a natural source of information when the story begins exploring the history behind the Millennium Items.
His dedication has a personal cost. Yoshimori acknowledges that he has neglected his wife and son because of his work, illustrating how completely archaeology has occupied his life.
He nevertheless maintains longstanding friendships outside academia, particularly with Sugoroku, who remains concerned for him when his research places him in danger.
Abilities & Powers

Yoshimori has no supernatural powers or established Duel Monsters Deck. His expertise is academic rather than magical.
As an archaeology professor at Domino University, he possesses specialized knowledge of ancient cultures, artifacts and Egyptian history. That expertise allows him to recognize the significance of discoveries connected to the supernatural history surrounding Yugi.
His knowledge does not protect him from the Millennium Items themselves. Encounters with their wielders place him in situations far beyond conventional archaeological study.
