The agent is competent, dependable, informal, and unusually comfortable speaking candidly around Sylvia. He follows her orders during serious operations but does not behave as though every conversation with his superior requires military stiffness.

He can be outspoken enough to challenge Sylvia over trivial subjects, defend hobbies she dismisses, or criticize disorder around WISE facilities. These exchanges suggest a longstanding working relationship in which professional trust allows considerably more familiarity than Sylvia permits from most younger agents.

He also has occasional impulsive tendencies. During time-sensitive missions, urgency can overtake caution, forcing more meticulous operatives such as Loid Forger to stop him from rushing into potential traps.

As a veteran WISE operative, the agent is trained in surveillance, firearms, disguises, intelligence gathering, coded communication, and field coordination.

He is a capable marksman and can fire accurately from or toward moving vehicles during pursuit operations. He also maintains enough physical conditioning to continue field duty despite his older appearance and can carry injured or captured adults when required.

Disguise is another important skill. The agent uses ordinary civilian disguises for surveillance and later participates in more sophisticated impersonation operations prepared by Twilight.

His experience also gives him a good sense for unreliable intelligence. In contrast to less experienced agents, he is less likely to accept rumors or incomplete reports without considering alternative explanations.

The agent becomes prominent during the Doggy Crisis, where he helps brief Twilight on Keith Kepler's planned assassination of Westalian Foreign Minister Brantz.

He joins the hunt for the terrorist group, participates in surveillance and pursuit operations, and narrowly avoids triggering an explosive trap after attempting to enter a rigged room too quickly. Keith later overturns the WISE agents' car with an explosive during a chase, injuring him but failing to end the operation.

The agent continues appearing as part of WISE's Ostanian network, providing information about Nightfall, monitoring politically sensitive incidents, and supporting operations that require multiple field personnel.

During the hunt for Winston Wheeler, the agent works alongside Fiona and other WISE personnel in Shellbury. He participates in the counterintelligence operation designed to prevent Wheeler from escaping with intelligence capable of exposing WISE agents across Ostania.

Sylvia Sherwood is the agent's handler and longtime colleague. He respects her command while speaking to her more casually than many subordinates do.

Loid Forger is a younger colleague whom the agent supports on multiple missions and occasionally teases about his fabricated domestic life.

Fiona Frost is another younger WISE agent with whom he cooperates in major operations. He recognizes her exceptional ability while also commenting on her recklessness.

Keith Kepler is the terrorist leader the agent helps pursue during the Doggy Crisis.

Winston Wheeler becomes the target of a major WISE pursuit in which the agent participates under the code designation Red 2.
