Touma

Touma is honorable, kindhearted, and deeply committed to the ideals of swordsmanship. Even while struggling against supernatural influence, he recognizes that his ability to resist is weakening.

His desire for a genuine duel reflects the importance he places on fighting according to his own will rather than as a puppet.

Touma is an accomplished swordsman and possesses enough strength of will to resist the Seven Stars Sword longer than many of Saga's other subordinates.

Saga's influence eventually overwhelms that resistance and forces Touma to fight on behalf of the sword's plan.

Touma encounters Roronoa Zoro and seeks a legitimate duel before losing control of himself.

Saga interrupts their confrontation and takes complete control of Touma. He is later sent to defend one of the shrines and fights Nami and Chopper before their combined attacks defeat him. The Seven Stars Sword's defeat eventually frees him from its influence.

Saga is Touma's superior and the source through which the Seven Stars Sword exerts its influence over him.

Roronoa Zoro grants Touma the honorable duel he desires. Nami and Tony Tony Chopper later confront him while he is under the sword's control.
