Torka

Torka receives limited direct characterization. He is remembered primarily through accounts of Lyza's past rather than through an extended appearance of his own.

His position as a Black Whistle establishes him as an experienced cave raider capable of participating in a dangerous government-backed expedition into the Fourth Layer.

Torka attained Black Whistle rank, placing him among highly experienced delvers authorized to operate in the deeper portions of the Abyss.

He participates in the expedition tasked with retrieving the Greater Artifact known as the Unheard Bell. The mission involves both the dangers of the Fourth Layer and conflict over possession of the valuable Relic.

No personal Artifact, named fighting technique or unique supernatural ability has been established for him.

Torka belongs to the expedition sent to recover the Unheard Bell, serving alongside Lyza while she is already a White Whistle. Their relationship results in Lyza becoming pregnant with Riko during a period when both parents remain active cave raiders.

Torka is killed during the expedition before Riko is born. Lyza continues the mission while pregnant and later gives birth in the Fourth Layer, connecting Riko's life to the Abyss before she ever reaches the surface.

His limited presence nevertheless establishes that Riko descends from two accomplished cave raiders rather than Lyza alone.

Lyza is Torka's wife and fellow cave raider. She is already a White Whistle while he holds Black Whistle rank.

Riko is Torka's daughter. Torka dies before her birth, so the two never have an opportunity to know one another directly.

Ozen participates in the expedition surrounding Riko's birth and later recounts parts of that history to Riko.
