Tore

Tore is hot-tempered, prideful, and extremely sensitive to disrespect. A relatively minor insult is enough to push him into a confrontation that neither side is willing to defuse.

He shares the rough social assumptions of Askeladd's band, where violent arguments between comrades are treated as private matters so long as they do not interfere with the company's larger business.

Tore is an experienced Viking warrior and swordsman.

His membership in Askeladd's company indicates practical skill in raiding, marching, close combat, and surviving in a band that spends years participating in wars throughout England.

Canon does not establish an individual named technique or place him among the band's strongest fighters.

Tore appears after Askeladd's men raid a farming village near Bath in November 1013.

During the feast afterward, he questions why the band continues plundering small settlements rather than attacking a larger town. Áki calls him foolish because their force numbers only around one hundred men.

The insult starts an argument. Áki refuses to apologize and calls Tore a cattle thief, escalating the confrontation into an armed duel while the rest of the company largely leaves them to settle it themselves.

Tore defeats his fellow mercenary, demonstrating the casual internal violence accepted within Askeladd's war band.
