Tooru Hagakure

Tooru is bubbly, upbeat, sociable, and fond of shopping, romance, and cute things. She readily participates in class jokes and group activities and rarely seems discouraged by the practical inconveniences of permanent invisibility.

Her lightheartedness is paired with strong observational instincts. Being naturally suited to stealth makes Tooru particularly effective at noticing things while remaining unseen herself.

She is also emotionally invested in Class 1-A as a community. When she realizes that someone close to the class may be hiding something serious, her curiosity comes primarily from concern rather than suspicion.

Invisibility constantly refracts light around Tooru's body, preventing normal visual detection. This gives her exceptional stealth so long as clothing or carried objects do not reveal her position.

Training reveals that the Quirk is more accurately a form of light manipulation than simple invisibility. Tooru can bend incoming light and concentrate it into flashes strong enough to blind opponents.

She can also redirect light-based Quirks. Her interaction with Yuuga Aoyama's Navel Laser allows her to scatter or focus his attacks, turning two otherwise specialized Quirks into a strong combination.

Tooru participates throughout Class 1-A's training and is paired with Mashirao Ojiro during the early battle trial exercise.

Her stealth becomes more strategically important as U.A. begins facing threats from infiltration and espionage rather than straightforward combat.

After noticing Yuuga Aoyama behaving strangely, Tooru secretly follows him and overhears his conversation with his parents, discovering that he has been forced to provide information to All For One. She brings Izuku to witness the confrontation, leading to the exposure of the U.A. traitor.

During the Final War, Tooru uses her ability to refract Yuuga's Navel Laser against Kunieda and later helps redirect exceptionally powerful light-based attacks. Intense laser exposure temporarily disrupts her Quirk enough for her visible appearance to be seen.

Yuuga Aoyama becomes particularly important to Tooru because their Quirks interact through light. She is also the classmate who discovers the truth about his coerced work for All For One.

Mashirao Ojiro is frequently associated with Tooru in class activities, beginning with their partnership during the Battle Trial.

Izuku Midoriya accompanies Tooru when she discovers Yuuga meeting secretly with his parents.

All For One becomes an indirect enemy after Tooru uncovers his coercion of Yuuga and his family.
