His tolerance is demonstrated when Sōma's experimentation consumes a considerable number of eggs supplied for the training camp. Rather than dwelling on the waste, Tokuzou recognizes Sōma's eventual accomplishment.

He is also willing to encourage young chefs personally, treating the students as potential future professional customers rather than merely contestants undergoing an academy examination.

Tokuzou is a professional ingredient producer rather than a competitive chef. His expertise centers on poultry eggs and the standards required to supply an institution as demanding as Tōtsuki Resort.
