Titus Alexius

Titus initially presents himself as proud, competitive and somewhat spoiled. He is sensitive about his appearance and dislikes being mistaken for a girl. His sheltered upbringing also leaves him unfamiliar with many ordinary aspects of everyday life.

Living at Magnostadt reveals a much warmer personality. Titus becomes attached to his classmates and especially to Marga, whose circumstances awaken a strong protective instinct in him. His growing desire to experience an ordinary life creates a painful conflict with the duty imposed upon him.

Titus is an exceptionally powerful magician with vast quantities of magoi available to him. He specializes in complex magic and demonstrates the ability to combine different types of magic with a degree of sophistication beyond most students at Magnostadt.

He can create a powerful Borg for defense and employs offensive spells strong enough to surprise other elite magicians. His magical reserves and technical ability initially make his duel with Aladdin an unusually destructive confrontation for two students.

After succeeding Scheherazade, Titus becomes one of the Magi and gains the abilities associated with that position, including access to the immense flow of Rukh available to a Magi.

Titus enrolls at Magnostadt Academy and becomes a classmate of Aladdin and Sphintus Carmen. He is secretly acting on Scheherazade's behalf, investigating Magnostadt and its ruler Matal Mogamett.

Titus is actually an artificial copy created from Scheherazade's body and Rukh. Although physically and mentally around fifteen, he has existed for only about two years, and his allotted lifespan is approaching its end.

His friendship with Marga changes his priorities. Titus eventually chooses to protect Magnostadt and the people he has come to love rather than simply obey Reim. After his original body reaches its end, his Rukh is granted a new body, and he succeeds Scheherazade as Reim's Magi and Great Priest.

Scheherazade is Titus's creator and the person from whom his body was copied. Their relationship resembles that of parent and child despite the unusual circumstances of his existence.

Marga becomes the person Titus most wants to protect. Caring for her gives him a personal reason to value his own life.

Aladdin begins as Titus's rival at Magnostadt before becoming a trusted friend.

Sphintus Carmen is Titus's classmate, roommate and close friend.

Matal Mogamett takes an interest in Titus as a talented magician and becomes an important authority figure during his time at Magnostadt.
