Taruho

Taruho is disciplined, gentle, and absolutely loyal to Shion. Unlike people who interpret her distant behavior as simple arrogance, he understands the burden created by her prophecies and upbringing.

His devotion is extreme enough that he willingly participates in techniques intended to make assassins believe Shion has already been killed.

Taruho's most important technique is the Shadow Mirror Body Transfer Method, which allows him to assume Shion's appearance and act as her double.

He also has the basic combat and escort training expected of a professional bodyguard.

Taruho travels with the Konoha shinobi assigned to protect Shion. When assassins attack, he secretly takes Shion's appearance and allows the attackers to target him instead.

Naruto initially believes Shion has been killed until the deception is revealed. Taruho survives the substitution and continues assisting the escort mission.

Shion is the person Taruho has sworn to protect, and he understands her more closely than most of her attendants. Naruto Uzumaki initially struggles with Shion's fatalism but earns Taruho's trust through his determination to save her.
