Shiraume Noyamano

Ume is quieter and more withdrawn than Rika Noyamano, Mikan Noyamano and Ringo Noyamano. She often remains absorbed in her own hobbies rather than participating in the louder arguments that dominate the household.

Her handmade puppets reflect her eccentric tastes. Gorgon imagery appears repeatedly in her creations, and she habitually carries a puppet even when accompanying the others outside the home.

Despite her reserve, Ume is affectionate toward Ikki and regards him as part of the family. Her sisters likewise dote on her as the youngest Noyamano.

Ume is generally considered the weakest Noyamano sister in ordinary Air Treck combat. Her small body and limited conventional riding experience place her at a disadvantage compared with Ringo or Mikan.

Her abilities change dramatically under the extreme conditions of Trophaeum. Ume is a Gravity Child, giving her spatial perception adapted to environments in which ordinary riders struggle to orient themselves. This allows her to fight effectively within the tower despite appearing comparatively weak outside it.

She uses an unnamed Subregalia and holds King-class standing within Sleeping Forest, although the manga never provides a definitive name for her Road.

Ume appears from the beginning as the youngest sister in the household where Ikki lives. For much of the early story, her dolls and unusual behavior are more visible than any involvement with the competitive A-T world.

Her position becomes more significant once Sleeping Forest and the Noyamano family's connection to Trophaeum are exposed. She participates with her sisters in protecting the tower and the secrets associated with the Sky Regalia.

The revelation that Ume is a Gravity Child explains why a ten-year-old who appears relatively weak under ordinary conditions can function effectively inside Trophaeum's unusual environment. She remains part of Sleeping Forest as the struggle over the tower escalates.

Rika Noyamano is Ume's eldest sister and the primary provider for the Noyamano household.

Mikan Noyamano is Ume's older sister and one of Sleeping Forest's more physically aggressive riders.

Ringo Noyamano is Ume's older sister and the Thorn Queen of their generation of Sleeping Forest.

Itsuki Minami is Ume's adoptive older brother. She treats him as part of the family and grows up alongside him in the Noyamano household.

Kilik leads the Sleeping Forest with which Ume is affiliated.
