Dr. STONE

Senkuu Ishigami

石神千空

Story Role

Senku supplies the plan that turns survival into reconstruction. After awakening, he secures food and shelter, studies nitric acid and creates revival fluid. Reviving Tsukasa solves the immediate threat from wild animals but produces a political conflict over who deserves restoration. Tsukasa breaks Senku's neck, and residual petrification at the injury allows Taiju and Yuzuriha to revive him.

At Ishigami Village, Senku converts scattered skills into an institution. The effort to cure Ruri requires electricity, glass, chemical processing and antibiotics, bringing craftspeople and skeptics into the Kingdom of Science. The completed medicine proves that reproducible knowledge can accomplish what the village understands as magic. Senku then learns that the settlement and its Hundred Tales were prepared by Byakuya's generation.

During the Stone Wars, he builds communications, steam power and nonlethal weapons to undermine Tsukasa's empire with minimal casualties. The conflict ends with Hyoga's betrayal and a new alliance between Senku and Tsukasa. The search for the petrification source then expands the story from one Japanese settlement to ocean navigation, Treasure Island and a global resource network.

The later conflict with Xeno and Stanley leads the group to South America, where another worldwide petrification ends a lethal battle. Suika eventually restores Senku, who revives both allies and former enemies. Global teams subsequently build computers, satellites and rockets for a journey to the Moon. Why-Man is revealed as the collective intelligence of the Medusa devices; Senku negotiates with it rather than destroying it, and begins researching a time machine after humanity's return.
