Personality
Personality
Seiji is friendly, patient and relaxed with both his daughters and the young people who frequent his businesses. He rarely tries to dominate their decisions, preferring to offer support while allowing them to work through problems themselves.
His familiarity with baseball gives him an informed perspective on the players around him. At the same time, he does not turn his own experience into pressure on Aoba or the other young athletes.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Seiji played catcher during high school and was part of a team that reached Koshien. That background gives him first-hand knowledge of high-level school baseball and the demands surrounding a serious tournament run.
He later becomes a businessman, operating both the family's batting center and Clover Café. The batting center provides Aoba and Kou with an unusually convenient environment for years of baseball practice.
Story Role
Story Role
Seiji anchors the Tsukishima household and the two family businesses that serve as recurring settings throughout the story. His batting center is especially important: Kou spends years using its cages, while Aoba grows up with baseball literally attached to her home life.
After the losses of his wife and Wakaba, Seiji continues holding the family together alongside Ichiyou, who assumes many of the household responsibilities for her younger sisters.
His own Koshien experience also connects the older generation of the family with the goal pursued by Kou and Seishuu.
Relationships

Ichiyou Tsukishima is Seiji's eldest daughter and takes on considerable responsibility within the household and Clover Café.
Wakaba Tsukishima is Seiji's second daughter. Her death becomes a defining loss for the entire Tsukishima family.
Aoba Tsukishima is Seiji's third daughter and the most intensely baseball-focused member of the family. Seiji plays catch with Aoba Tsukishima and supports her development as a pitcher.
Momiji Tsukishima is Seiji's youngest daughter.
Kou Kitamura grows up next door and spends so much time around the Tsukishima household and batting center that Seiji treats him with familial familiarity.
