Rugal

Rugal combines courage with unusually calm judgment for someone who identifies himself as a strike leader. He is willing to fight directly but does not approach combat recklessly, making him well suited to coordinating the Tri-Brigade's ground forces.

His confidence is reflected in the title he gives himself, yet his actions show that the bravado is supported by genuine ability. Rugal can assess a changing battlefield and command other fighters while stronger individual combatants engage priority targets.

He is also deeply committed to the Tri-Brigade and the displaced people it protects. His loyalty is expressed primarily through action rather than elaborate speeches.

Rugal is a powerful Beast-Warrior and an experienced ground commander. While Shuraig uses his wings and weaponry to contest the skies, Rugal directs the fighting below, coordinating Tri-Brigade personnel against Dogmatika's forces.

His card incarnation, Tri-Brigade Rugal the Silver Sheller, is an EARTH Link-3 Beast-Warrior with 2300 ATK. During an opponent's Main Phase, it can temporarily Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast from the hand or Graveyard with its effects negated.

If the card is sent to the Graveyard, opposing monsters lose ATK according to the number of different Monster Types controlled by Rugal's player. These effects mirror his narrative position as a commander who deploys allies and weakens opposing forces.

Rugal is among the core warriors of the Tri-Brigade during its conflict with Dogmatika. Alongside Shuraig and Ferrijit, he helps coordinate the organization's military operations and attempts to rescue comrades captured by the enemy.

When Fallen of Albaz and Dogmatika Ecclesia become entangled in the conflict, the Tri-Brigade provides them with assistance. Their struggle eventually expands beyond the original war with Dogmatika as Maximus's actions unleash new forces across the Abyss.

Rugal remains associated with the Tri-Brigade throughout the escalating conflict, serving as one of the organization's dependable field commanders.

Shuraig is the overall leader of the Tri-Brigade. While Shuraig specializes in aerial combat, Rugal assumes responsibility for much of the fighting on the ground.

Ferrijit is Rugal's fellow ground commander. The two coordinate Tri-Brigade forces beneath Shuraig's leadership.

Kitt is another member of the Tri-Brigade's core group and contributes technical expertise rather than serving primarily as a frontline commander.

Fallen of Albaz and Dogmatika Ecclesia become allies of Rugal's organization after their confrontation with Dogmatika places them on the same side of the conflict.
