Rollo no Haha

Rollo's mother is frightened for her terminally ill son and susceptible to the religious promises offered by those around her. She explains the village's sacrifices to Rollo as a means of receiving divine blessings, reflecting how deeply those beliefs have penetrated the community.

Her actions are shaped by desperation rather than simple cruelty. Rollo's illness leaves her searching for a way to save him in a world where ordinary medical help is difficult to obtain.

Rollo's mother is an ordinary human with no established combat abilities or supernatural powers.

Her role is entirely civilian and familial. She depends on Vash's willingness to help and on the religious structures surrounding the village rather than possessing any means of curing Rollo herself.

Rollo's mother appears in the flashbacks explaining Vash's connection to the abandoned village. Her son Rollo suffers from an illness that he believes will kill him before adulthood.

Vash finds Rollo after the boy runs into the desert and promises his mother that he will obtain medicine. Before Vash returns, Rollo is surrendered as the village's sacrificial child and taken away by the Eye of Michael.

Instead of receiving a miraculous cure, Rollo becomes a subject of William Conrad's experiments and is eventually transformed into Monev the Gale.

Rollo is her son. She wants him cured but is also bound by the sacrificial beliefs of her community. She ultimately allows him to be taken after he is selected as the village's offering.

Vash the Stampede meets Rollo after the boy flees and returns him to his mother. He promises her that he will find medicine for the child.

William Conrad becomes connected to Rollo after he is taken from the village. Rollo is subjected to Conrad's experiments and transformed into Monev.
