Rohba is eccentric but fundamentally good-natured. She does not share her son's ambitions and openly objects to his attempts to use his inventions for conquest.
She is also forceful enough to reprimand Ratchet directly, treating the self-proclaimed genius as her badly behaved son rather than an intimidating ruler.

She later opposes Ratchet's plans and is imprisoned alongside the Straw Hats when her attempts to reason with him fail. After Ratchet's defeat, Rohba personally punishes her son by spanking him.
