Ribbon

Ribbon is affectionate, loyal, and genuinely excited to see Lucy whenever she returns home. His attachment goes beyond the formal relationship expected between servant and noble household member; he regards Lucy as part of his own family.

His immediate instinct upon seeing Lucy again is to tell her about books he has acquired from the East, suggesting that reading and the estate's library formed part of their earlier relationship.

Ribbon is also curious enough to join the other servants in eavesdropping when Lucy has an emotionally significant conversation with her father.

No magic, weapon, or combat ability is established for Ribbon.

His known specialty is his work as a librarian and household servant. He obtains and maintains books for the Heartfilia estate and specifically tells Lucy about new books brought from the East.

Nothing in canon suggests that he is a professional mage.

Ribbon appears when Lucy returns to the Heartfilia estate during the Phantom Lord conflict. Hearing Spetto call out to Lucy, Ribbon comes to greet her and excitedly tells her that he has acquired new books.

He later joins the other household servants in listening through the door as Lucy confronts Jude Heartfilia and makes clear that Fairy Tail has become the family she chooses for herself.

After the Heartfilia Konzern's financial collapse and sale, Ribbon and the other servants lose their positions and leave the estate to find work elsewhere.

The anime also briefly shows an Edolas counterpart of Ribbon, who is seen fishing.

Lucy Heartfilia is the person Ribbon cares for most directly, treating her like family after years of service in her household.

Spetto is a fellow Heartfilia servant who is present when Lucy returns home.

Aed is another longtime servant in the Heartfilia household.

Jude Heartfilia is Ribbon's employer and head of the Heartfilia Konzern during Ribbon's years of service.
