Renzoku Bakudanma

Renzoku Bakudanma is violent, reckless and entertained by placing innocent people in danger. Rather than simply threatening the amusement park, he structures his attack as a game and forces his opponent to operate under rules where mistakes can have lethal consequences.

He is also arrogant about his control of the situation. The explosives and hostages are intended to prevent anyone from confronting him directly, allowing him to dictate the conditions from a safe position.

His confidence ultimately depends on his opponent behaving exactly as expected. Dark Yugi's ability to understand and manipulate the rules of dangerous games turns that confidence against him.

Renzoku Bakudanma has no supernatural powers. His threat comes from explosives, planning and his willingness to endanger civilians.

He rigs the amusement-park attraction and uses balloons as part of the game imposed upon Dark Yugi. The challenge requires careful judgment because choosing incorrectly risks triggering an explosion.

His methods make him dangerous without requiring any connection to Duel Monsters or the Millennium Items. The confrontation instead follows the early Yu-Gi-Oh! pattern of Dark Yugi facing criminals through specialized games.

Renzoku Bakudanma appears during Anzu's visit to an amusement park with Yugi. Anzu has deliberately placed herself in situations where she hopes the mysterious Dark Yugi will appear, but the bomber turns her plan into a genuine emergency.

After seizing control of the observation wheel, the bomber threatens the passengers and forces Dark Yugi to participate in his explosive challenge.

The confrontation becomes one of the 1998 anime's non-Duel Monsters Shadow Game-style encounters, emphasizing Yugi's ability to defeat dangerous opponents through observation and game strategy rather than conventional combat.

Anzu Mazaki becomes one of the civilians endangered by Renzoku Bakudanma's attack on the amusement park.

Yugi Mutou is present with Anzu Mazaki when the incident begins.

Dark Yugi accepts Renzoku Bakudanma's challenge and attempts to defeat the bomber's game before the hostages are harmed.
