Reggie Star

Reggie is calculating, suspicious, resourceful, and willing to manipulate weaker players. He correctly recognizes that the Culling Game's visible point system cannot be Kenjaku's entire objective and attempts to position himself advantageously before its hidden purpose becomes clear.

He recruits other players rather than operating alone. The resulting group provides information, additional combatants, and a way to lure isolated participants into situations where Reggie's side holds the numerical advantage.

Despite his scheming nature, Reggie appreciates genuine skill. His battle with Megumi Fushiguro becomes a prolonged contest of technique mechanics, resource management, deception, and improvisation.

Contractual Re-Creation allows Reggie to reproduce the subject of a contract by burning the physical contract with cursed energy. Receipts are his most common medium, which is why he carries so many across his body.

A receipt for an object can reproduce that object. Reggie summons knives, household items, vehicles, and even heavy structures, sometimes commanding recreated objects like simple shikigami before they disappear.

Contracts for services can reproduce the service's effect rather than a physical object. A receipt for a spa stay, for example, allows Reggie to reproduce the restorative effects of that service and refresh his body.

His technique gives him an enormous prepared arsenal but depends on consumable contracts. Reggie is also an experienced close-range fighter capable of reinforcing himself with cursed energy and analyzing unfamiliar techniques during combat.

Reggie establishes a small faction in Tokyo No. 1 Colony with Remi, Iori Hazenoki, and other players. Their group hunts newcomers and attempts to recruit or eliminate useful targets.

Remi leads Megumi to Reggie's base after pretending that she needs protection. Megumi quickly realizes he has been deceived, beginning a conflict between the groups.

Megumi separates Reggie from his allies and the two fight through buildings and eventually into a gymnasium. Reggie repeatedly uses Contractual Re-Creation to overwhelm Megumi with weight, projectiles, vehicles, and restorative effects.

Megumi responds with Chimera Shadow Garden, flooding the gymnasium with his shadow and turning the environment into an extension of the Ten Shadows Technique. The battle becomes a contest over how much weight Megumi can support within his shadow and how many resources Reggie still possesses.

Megumi tricks Reggie by concealing Divine Dog: Totality until Reggie believes it has become unusable. Once Reggie exhausts his remaining options, Divine Dog tears through him. Before dying, Reggie transfers his points to Megumi and leaves him with a curse-like prediction that fate will toy with him before he dies.

Megumi Fushiguro is Reggie's principal opponent and matches him in tactical deception throughout their Culling Game battle.

Remi works for Reggie by luring prospective targets to his group.

Iori Hazenoki is Reggie's strongest allied combatant in Tokyo No. 1 Colony.

Chizuru Hari is another member of Reggie's group and participates in the attempt to overwhelm Megumi.

Kenjaku created the Culling Game, whose hidden purpose Reggie correctly suspects extends beyond the rules presented to its players.
