Recca

Recca is responsible, caring, and accustomed to helping look after the younger children at the church. As the eldest girl among the orphans, she takes an active role in cooking, washing, and other everyday work.

She is also comfortable teasing Asta and participating in the familiar banter surrounding his repeated marriage proposals to Lily Aquaria. Her behavior reflects the close, sibling-like relationship shared by the children raised together in Hage.

When danger reaches the village, Recca's concern for her foster family becomes more prominent. Although she is not a trained combatant, she stays close to the other children and relies on the stronger members of the household to protect them.

Recca possesses Water Magic, allowing her to generate and manipulate water. Unlike the trained mages who dominate the series' battles, she primarily uses her magic for practical household tasks.

She can produce water while cooking and performing chores at the church. No combat spells, grimoire techniques, or formal magical training are established for her during the main story.

Her everyday use of magic illustrates how commonplace magical abilities are in the Clover Kingdom. Even children in an impoverished Forsaken Realm village routinely use their attributes as tools for ordinary life.

Recca is introduced as one of the Hage orphans who grow up with Asta and Yuno under the care of Father Orsi Orfai and Sister Lily. She witnesses their rivalry and the events surrounding their Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony.

When Asta and Yuno leave Hage to enter the Magic Knights, Recca remains at the church with the younger children. Their successes subsequently become a source of excitement for the household.

During the Elf Reincarnation conflict, the danger spreading through the Clover Kingdom reaches Hage itself. Digit Taliss, possessed by an elf, attacks the village and Orsi is afflicted by poisonous magic while protecting the children. Asta and Yuno return in time to help save their foster family.

Years later, Recca and the rest of the Hage family continue following Asta and Yuno's achievements and attend events celebrating their accomplishments.

Asta is Recca's foster brother. They were raised together at the Hage church, and Recca is familiar with his loud ambitions, constant training, and repeated attempts to propose to Sister Lily.

Yuno is another foster brother. Recca grows up alongside him and celebrates his achievements after he leaves Hage for the Magic Knights.

Orsi Orfai is Recca's foster father and the priest responsible for raising the church's orphans.

Lily Aquaria helps care for Recca and the other children at the church.

Nash, Aruru, and Holo are Recca's foster siblings and fellow orphans raised at the church.
