Okada Hiroshi

Very little individual characterization is established for Okada. He belongs to the group of inexperienced participants suddenly confronted with Gantz, its equipment and the prospect of being sent into combat.

Unlike several members of the expanded group who receive more sustained attention, Okada does not establish a distinctive philosophy toward the game or develop into one of the team's experienced fighters.

Okada has no established supernatural powers, specialized combat training or notable abilities outside the equipment made available by Gantz.

As a participant, he has access to the same basic Gantz technology offered to the other newly recruited hunters, including a personalized suit and weapons stored inside the black sphere. The manga does not establish significant proficiency with that equipment for him.

Okada appears during the buildup to the Dinosaur Alien mission as one of the many new people transported into the Tokyo room. His inclusion helps demonstrate the unusually large number of inexperienced participants Gantz has assembled for the coming hunt.

Okada does not survive long enough to become an established member of the team, dying after leaving the designated mission area and triggering Gantz's lethal boundary penalty.

Shion Izumi is present when Okada and the other new participants enter the Gantz room and already understands the game far better than they do.

Kei Kurono is one of the experienced Tokyo hunters participating in the same Dinosaur Alien mission as Okada.
