Natsuhi

Natsuhi is loving, self-sacrificing, determined, and unusually willing to oppose her own village when she believes its leaders are endangering people.

Her opposition to star training does not come from rejecting Hoshigakure. On the contrary, she acts because she believes destroying future generations for military prestige will ultimately destroy the village itself.

She is especially protective of Sumaru. The distance between them is painful for her, but she accepts being remembered unfavorably if doing so keeps him from becoming involved in the controversy surrounding the star.

Natsuhi is one of Hoshigakure's most accomplished users of the Mysterious Peacock Method, the village's chakra-enhancing hiden technique.

She can shape star-enhanced chakra into wings for flight, ropes for binding, and animal-like constructs for attack. Her chakra manifestations are powerful enough to overwhelm less skilled users of the same technique.

Natsuhi is also a sensor type, capable of identifying and tracking chakra signatures. She has knowledge of sealing methods connected to the meteorite and its techniques.

Years before Naruto's arrival, Natsuhi and Hotarubi complete star training and discover how severely it damages the human body.

The couple steals the meteorite in an attempt to end the practice. The Third Hoshikage agrees with their concerns and publicly presents them as having disappeared while they secretly watch over the village.

When Akahoshi restores star training, Natsuhi returns to steal the meteorite again. Naruto eventually discovers her identity and learns why the supposedly traitorous kunoichi is trying to deprive her own village of its most treasured source of power.

Akahoshi ultimately kills Natsuhi after using Sumaru as leverage. Her remaining chakra later aids Naruto during the final confrontation, helping bring an end to the star training program.

Sumaru is Natsuhi's son and the person she most wants to protect.

Hotarubi is her husband and partner in opposing star training.

Third Hoshikage accepts Natsuhi and Hotarubi's warning about the meteorite and secretly cooperates with them.

Akahoshi becomes Natsuhi's principal enemy after reinstating the dangerous training.

Naruto Uzumaki discovers Natsuhi's motives and supports her effort to protect Hoshigakure.
