Natsu no Haha Dragneel

Very little is established about Natsu's mother as an individual. She appears only within Zeref's recollection of his childhood, where she is shown as part of an ordinary family household with her husband and two sons.

No dialogue establishes particular interests, ambitions, fears, or personality traits. Describing her beyond the peaceful domestic context presented in the flashback would require speculation.

No magic, combat ability, weapon, or profession is established for Natsu's mother.

She is presented as an ordinary human living during the ancient era in which dragons were still widespread. Nothing in canon suggests that she possessed Dragon Slayer Magic or another exceptional magical discipline.

Natsu's mother appears through Zeref's memories of the Dragneel family more than four centuries before the present story.

She lives in a small village with her husband and their sons, Zeref and Natsu. The brief glimpse of this household establishes the life Zeref had before his later study of forbidden magic.

A dragon attacks their village and kills Natsu's mother, her husband, and the young Natsu. Zeref survives the disaster, and his determination to restore his younger brother ultimately drives him toward forbidden research concerning life and death.

Those experiments eventually result in Natsu's restoration as E.N.D., connecting the destruction of the Dragneel household to Zeref's centuries-long history.

Natsu Dragneel is her younger son. He dies during the dragon attack on their village and is later restored through Zeref's forbidden research.

Zeref Dragneel is her elder son and the surviving member of the household whose life is transformed by the loss of his family.

Natsu no Chichi Dragneel is her husband and the father of both boys.

August is her biological grandson through Zeref and Mavis Vermillion.
