Personality
Personality
Nakht is confident in the Egyptian magical traditions practiced by Team Niles and shares his teammates' pride in their abilities. His confidence is grounded in years of friendship and training rather than a partnership formed solely for the tournament.
He nevertheless shows more caution than Anatel when Team Niles faces an obviously dangerous opponent. When their situation deteriorates, Nakht recognizes that continuing to fight may be disastrous.
His loyalty to his friends outweighs that caution. When a teammate is threatened or mistreated, Nakht refuses to distance himself simply to preserve his own safety.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Nakht begins with 2,700 Furyoku and later reaches 3,000. His Guardian Ghost is Scarab, a nature spirit associated with the sacred scarab beetles of ancient Egyptian belief.
His pyramid helmet functions as the medium for his Over Soul. Nakht's "pyramid power" can collect sunlight and accelerate the recovery of Furyoku, effectively compensating for his relatively small personal reserves. This regenerative property is described in exaggerated terms as producing effectively inexhaustible Furyoku so long as the conditions and technique can be maintained.
The pyramid can also create a defensive barrier. Nakht's abilities consequently emphasize endurance and recovery rather than overwhelming offensive power.
Story Role
Story Role
Nakht grows up in Giza alongside Anatel and Khafre. The three become childhood friends, and Nakht later works as the president of a travel agency before entering the Shaman Fight.
He qualifies for the tournament, reaches Patch Village and forms Team Niles with his childhood companions. Their first official second-round match pits them against Team X-I.
Lyserg Diethel rapidly overwhelms Team Niles at the beginning of the match. When Anatel refuses to surrender, Iron Maiden Jeanne executes him with Shamash. Horrified and enraged, Nakht and Khafre reject Jeanne's demand that they repent; Jeanne subsequently executes both of them as well.
Nakht later appears among the souls supporting Yoh and the Five Elemental Warriors inside the Great Spirit during the final confrontation with Hao.
