Nakano

Nakano receives almost no independent characterization. He appears primarily through the confusion created by the existence of an identical-looking double.

He socializes with other students and reacts with the same bewilderment as his friends when confronted with someone who appears to be another version of himself.

Nakano is an ordinary human with no supernatural abilities, combat training or Gantz equipment.

The extraordinary abilities associated with his appearance belong to the Shorty Alien impersonating him, not to Nakano himself.

Nakano appears during the aftermath of the Shorty Alien mission, when the surviving alien infiltrates Kurono's school.

The creature copies Nakano's appearance and enters a restroom where the real student and several other boys are gathered.

The disguised alien attacks the students, killing Nakano and the surrounding boys before moving into Kurono's classroom. The imitation then reveals itself as the surviving Shorty Alien seeking revenge.

Kei Kurono attends the same school as Nakano and becomes the ultimate target of the alien using Nakano's appearance.

Shion Izumi encounters the disguised alien when it reaches the classroom and begins attacking the students.
