Mubi

Mubi is a mission-focused shinobi who works closely with his teammates rather than seeking individual attention.

His team favors ambushes, illusions, concealment, and attrition over direct confrontation. Mubi fits comfortably into that approach and shows patience when maintaining techniques designed to exhaust enemies.

Compared with more flamboyant Chuunin Exam competitors, relatively little individual characterization is established for Mubi; his role is primarily defined through his coordination with Oboro and Kagari.

Mubi can use Earth Release and Yin Release, with anime material additionally giving him Water Release.

Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique allows him to move beneath the earth while remaining concealed, making it useful for ambushes and repositioning.

Haze Clone Technique produces numerous insubstantial duplicates. Attacks pass through these clones, allowing Mubi's team to conceal genuine attacks among a seemingly endless number of false opponents.

He also uses Mist Servant Technique and Sly Mind Affect Technique, further reinforcing his specialization in deception and psychological pressure.

Mubi participates in the Chuunin Exams as part of an Amegakure team led by Oboro.

During the Forest of Death, Team Oboro becomes involved with Team 7 as both groups compete for the scrolls required to advance.

Later, Mubi and his teammates create a prolonged ambush using repeated illusionary clones. The strategy is intended to exhaust Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura Haruno until the real attackers can finish them safely.

Naruto eventually identifies the pattern behind their attacks and counters the Rain genin's underground approach, allowing Team 7 to defeat them and obtain the scroll needed to complete the second examination.

Oboro is Mubi's teammate and the leader of their Amegakure squad.

Kagari is the third member of Team Oboro and participates in their coordinated deception tactics.

Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno become Team Oboro's opponents during the Forest of Death.
