Mitsuko Hiramori

Mitsuko has an intense enthusiasm for ghost stories, supernatural phenomena and urban legends. She enjoys the atmosphere surrounding supposedly haunted locations and is comfortable investigating incidents that make other people nervous.

She can also be theatrical, leaning into the frightening presentation of the stories she investigates. This enthusiasm carries into her Rush Duel with Yudias, where her monsters reinforce the same horror-oriented aesthetic.

Despite her ominous interests, Mitsuko remains a loyal UTS employee. Her occult expertise is treated as one of the specialized skills available to the company rather than evidence that she is genuinely malicious.

Mitsuko is knowledgeable about urban legends and supernatural folklore, making her particularly useful when UTS receives a case involving apparently paranormal activity.

She is also a Rush Duelist. Her Deck uses monsters themed around horror and supernatural stories, complementing the three frightening tales investigated during her featured episode.

Mitsuko is experienced enough to introduce Yudias to another distinctive style of Rush Dueling early in his education, though she does not become one of the series' regular competitive Duelists.

Mitsuko receives a prominent role when UTS investigates a collection of terrifying stories around Mutsuba Town. Her familiarity with the occult makes her the natural guide for Yudias as the group investigates the phenomena.

The case culminates in a Rush Duel between Mitsuko and Yudias. The match continues Yudias's early education in the game by exposing him to an opponent whose Deck and personality are built around a specific theme.

Afterward, Mitsuko returns to the wider UTS ensemble and continues appearing with the company's veteran employees during later incidents.

Yudias Velgear is Mitsuko's opponent during the investigation of Mutsuba Town's frightening urban legends. Their Rush Duel becomes one of his early experiences with the game.

Yuamu Ohdo leads the UTS organization in which Mitsuko works.

Yuhi Ohdo is another member of UTS and regularly participates in the company's alien-related investigations alongside Mitsuko.
