Michiko Kawasaki

Michiko is suspicious, outspoken and quick-tempered when she believes Kawasaki is cheating. She has already confronted him before hiring the Yorozuya, but his refusal to explain himself only deepens her suspicions.

She reacts physically when presented with apparent evidence of an affair, repeatedly hitting her husband rather than calmly hearing him out. At the same time, her anger comes from genuine investment in their marriage rather than indifference toward it.

Michiko is capable of being deeply moved by sincere affection. The resolution of the investigation shows that she wants reassurance that her husband still values their family.

Michiko has no supernatural powers or formal combat abilities.

She is physically forceful when angry, particularly toward her husband, but these moments are comedic rather than evidence of a defined fighting style.

Her role in the story is that of a Yorozuya client whose domestic suspicion creates an investigation rather than a combatant.

Michiko hires the Yorozuya to obtain proof that her husband is unfaithful. Kagura rejects the stated objective and decides instead to search for proof that Kawasaki still loves his wife.

Kagura and Shimura Shinpachi investigate Kawasaki's workplace, the Kunoichi Kafé, where his interactions with Ayame Sarutobi and Wakikaoru appear suspicious when taken out of context.

Kawasaki is eventually revealed not to be having an affair. He has secretly been assembling a portrait of Michiko from flower petals, and the apparent evidence of infidelity stems from his efforts to complete the gift. After further confusion over the spelling of her name, the couple reconcile.

Kawasaki is Michiko's husband and the father of her three children. Their poor communication causes her to suspect him of adultery despite his continued devotion to her.

Kagura and Shimura Shinpachi investigate Kawasaki on Michiko's behalf.

Ayame Sarutobi becomes part of the supposed affair manufactured during the investigation.

Wakikaoru knows Michiko's husband and helps explain what he has actually been doing.
