Mepopohon is quiet and reserved, communicating entirely through gestures rather than speech. Their half-lidded expression and slow-looking presentation reinforce the "sleepyhead" designation used for them.
They are nevertheless attentive enough to operate lodging for visitors. Their limited characterization is primarily expressed through hospitality rather than dialogue.

Mepopohon has the transformed body of a Narehate, with unusually long, thin fingers and a small frame concealed beneath loose clothing and a large hood.
No specialized combat ability is established for them. They do, however, participate alongside other villagers when Iruburu comes under attack.
Mepopohon also prepares food for guests. Their cooking proves less successful for Riko, whose meal causes severe digestive trouble.

Mepopohon appears during Riko's exploration of Iruburu and rents her a room at their lodge. The encounter provides another glimpse of ordinary life within the village, where residents maintain businesses and exchange services through the local system of value.
Riko eats food prepared there and subsequently suffers severe indigestion. Mepopohon later joins other inhabitants attempting to defend Iruburu when a dangerous creature attacks.
