Maroi

Maroi is opportunistic, theatrical, and difficult to read. He frequently presents himself as serving whichever side benefits him, making his true allegiance deliberately unclear.

Behind the joking manner, he is capable of carrying out dangerous undercover work and understands far more about Naruto's imprisonment than he initially admits.

Maroi is capable of infiltration, disguise, and covert manipulation inside Hōzuki Castle. He can use techniques that contribute to creating confusion among the prisoners and staff.

His mission depends more on espionage and deception than sustained direct combat.

Maroi operates within Hōzuki Castle while Naruto Uzumaki attempts to discover why he was framed.

He is ultimately revealed to be cooperating with the larger operation surrounding Naruto's imprisonment rather than simply serving Mui. He helps create the prison riot that gives Naruto and Ryūzetsu an opportunity to act against the Box of Ultimate Bliss.

Killer B is connected to Maroi's true assignment and knows him personally. Naruto Uzumaki initially regards him as an unpredictable prisoner, while Ryuuzetsu forms a temporary alliance with him. Mui uses Maroi during events surrounding Naruto's confinement.
