Madoka Tsuburai

Madoka is presented as a professional researcher working at one of Japan's major radio astronomy facilities. Her limited screen time centers on the attack against her and the investigation that follows rather than an extensive personal storyline.

She cooperates with the authorities as they attempt to determine why someone targeted the observatory and how the incident connects to other events unfolding in Nagano.

Madoka has no combat abilities or supernatural powers. Her established expertise is scientific research at the Nobeyama National Astronomical Observatory.

Her work places her around the observatory's large radio telescopes and research infrastructure, including the facility whose activation unexpectedly triggers severe pain in Yamato's damaged eye.

Madoka becomes one of the first people directly targeted during the events of One-eyed Flashback. An intruder enters the observatory and assaults her, prompting a police response.

Kansuke Yamato and Yui Uehara arrive to investigate. While the staff are being questioned, activation of the observatory's large parabolic antenna causes Yamato's injured eye to react, linking the new incident to unresolved circumstances surrounding his earlier avalanche.

The attack becomes one piece of a wider case involving police officers, prosecutors, Public Security personnel, and an armed robbery from eight years earlier.

Yutaka Ochi is Madoka's colleague at the Nobeyama National Astronomical Observatory.

Kansuke Yamato and Yui Uehara investigate the assault against Madoka as members of the Nagano Prefectural Police.
