Personality
Personality
Lilynette is loud, mischievous and easily frustrated by Starrk’s passivity. She kicks, strikes and berates him when she believes he is avoiding his responsibilities, creating the appearance of an unruly younger companion managing an exhausted guardian.
Her behavior becomes more serious when other Arrancar die or Hueco Mundo undergoes unsettling changes. She grieves for fallen allies and is angered when an opponent refuses to take her seriously. Her bravado is therefore mixed with insecurity: she wants to demonstrate that she belongs on the battlefield despite possessing far less independent power than Starrk.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Lilynette carries a curved sword concealed in the broken horn of her mask fragment. She is agile enough to attack a captain repeatedly, although her blows are easily evaded by an opponent of Jushiro Ukitake’s ability.
She fires a light-green Cero through the mask covering her left eye. Its output is unusually weak for an Arrancar; Ukitake blocks it barehanded and judges it inferior to the Cero of an ordinary Gillian.
Lilynette is not a conventional Fracción or separate Zanpakuto wielder. She and Starrk are the two bodies produced when a single, immensely powerful Hollow split its soul to escape loneliness. During the release of Los Lobos, she merges with Starrk and becomes his paired pistols, retaining the ability to speak, feel and fire independently. Their combined form can unleash rapid Cero volleys and create explosive spiritual wolves.
Story Role
Story Role
Lilynette first appears in Las Noches beside Starrk, monitoring events while he sleeps. She later follows him to the battle over the false Karakura Town, where she challenges Ukitake after the captains and Espada divide into separate confrontations. Ukitake refuses to treat her as a serious threat and repeatedly evades her attacks without injuring her.
When Starrk begins fighting Shunsui Kyoraku, Lilynette merges with him to activate Los Lobos. She never reappears as a separate being after the fusion. The anime explicitly depicts her presence fading when the spiritual wolves are destroyed, while the manga leaves her individual fate implicit within Starrk’s defeat.
