Kunijiro

Kunijiro is wealthy and indulgent, particularly toward his son.

Having built his fortune from humble beginnings, he possesses considerable business ability, but his parenting has allowed Kunihisa to grow accustomed to having every desire satisfied through money.

He nevertheless recognizes that the boy's attitude is becoming a problem.

Rather than simply buying Kunihisa shinobi equipment or tutors, Kunijiro seeks outside help so that his son can experience the realities that money has sheltered him from.

Kunijiro is a civilian businessman with no established shinobi abilities.

His expertise lies in jewellery and rare gemstones, the trade through which he becomes wealthy.

His financial resources allow him to hire extensive personal security and provide Kunihisa with an exceptionally privileged upbringing.

No ninjutsu, chakra nature, or combat training is attributed to him.

Kunijiro approaches Tsunade because Kunihisa wants to know what being a ninja is like.

Tsunade responds by assigning Naruto to spend time with the boy.

The resulting mission exposes the flaws in Kunihisa's upbringing when his tendency to use money for everything makes him vulnerable to people who can simply offer his guards more.

Kunijiro remains largely outside the central action, functioning as the parent who initiates the lesson Naruto ultimately teaches his son.

Kunihisa is Kunijiro's son and the focus of his concern.

Tsunade is Kunijiro's longtime acquaintance and the person from whom he requests help.

Naruto Uzumaki is selected to teach Kunihisa what genuine shinobi life involves.
