Klaus Lunettes

Klaus is serious, studious, responsible, and initially condescending toward people of lower social status. He takes pride in both the Golden Dawn and his noble upbringing, leading him to question whether Yuno and Asta belong among the Magic Knights.

Unlike nobles who cling to prejudice regardless of evidence, Klaus is capable of admitting when he is wrong. Watching Asta and Yuno risk themselves during the dungeon expedition changes his opinion, and he begins treating them with genuine respect.

Klaus subsequently becomes openly supportive of Yuno and takes an almost parental interest in the younger knight's progress. His seriousness remains intact, but it is increasingly directed toward protecting and encouraging his comrades rather than enforcing social distinctions.

Klaus uses Steel Magic, creating and manipulating steel for attack and defense. His spells favor large, solid constructs that can strike opponents, carry passengers, or provide protection.

Spiral Lance creates a rotating steel lance capable of piercing targets, while Steel Creation Magic: Fierce Spiral Lance produces a larger offensive construct. Klaus can also form steel vehicles that transport multiple people through the air.

As a Golden Dawn Magic Knight, he possesses substantial mana and good control over his spells. His strengths lie in discipline, tactical thinking, and dependable mid-range combat rather than highly unconventional magic.

Klaus is assigned to explore the newly discovered dungeon with Yuno and Mimosa Vermillion. He initially dismisses the Black Bulls they encounter there, particularly Asta, because of their backgrounds and reputation.

The battle against Mars overturns those assumptions. Klaus witnesses Asta repeatedly stand against a much stronger opponent and comes to acknowledge both him and Yuno as worthy Magic Knights.

Klaus later participates in the defense of the Royal Capital and the Royal Knights Selection Exam. During the elf reincarnation crisis he continues fighting for the Clover Kingdom, while later, in the Spade Kingdom conflict, he is among the Golden Dawn members confronted by Zenon Zogratis and his forces.

Yuno is Klaus's Golden Dawn teammate. Klaus initially looks down on his commoner background but becomes one of his strongest supporters after recognizing his ability and character.

Mimosa Vermillion serves alongside Klaus on their early dungeon mission and in subsequent Golden Dawn operations.

Asta earns Klaus's respect during the dungeon battle against Mars. Klaus's attitude toward him changes from dismissive prejudice to enthusiastic admiration.

Mars is the Diamond Kingdom mage whose overwhelming strength forces Klaus, Yuno, Mimosa, and the Black Bulls into a dangerous confrontation.

Zenon Zogratis attacks the Golden Dawn headquarters and later fights Klaus and other Clover Kingdom mages during the Spade Kingdom conflict.
