King

King is composed, intelligent and disturbingly casual about the harm he causes. His gentlemanly manner disguises a willingness to manipulate vulnerable people and spread dangerous drugs largely for his own amusement.

He enjoys testing strong fighters and observing what people will do under pressure. Unlike many street delinquents, his behavior is not driven simply by territorial pride.

King's confidence also comes from personal fighting ability. He does not need to remain safely behind his associates when confronted, even though he is perfectly willing to use them strategically.

King practices a practical form of Chinese martial arts designed for real combat. His repertoire includes powerful strikes, attacks to vulnerable areas and joint manipulation.

His slender appearance encourages opponents to underestimate his physical threat. In close range, however, he can transition between striking and control techniques rather than relying on one specialized sporting discipline.

King also surrounds himself with capable fighters, including mixed-martial-arts practitioners, giving his organization several layers of physical protection.

King enters the story during the spread of True through the streets. The drug's effects destabilize the environment that Yuu and his friends have come to regard as their territory.

He allies his organization with people already hostile to Yuu's group. This turns personal grudges into a broader conflict involving drugs, kidnapping attempts and organized violence.

Yuu eventually decides to attack King's organization directly after the drug operation threatens people close to him. The resulting conflict pushes Yuu into some of his darkest and most violent behavior.

Yuu Kamishiro becomes King's principal enemy once King's drug operation begins harming the street community Yuu protects.

Masaki Izawa is another major fighter whose presence threatens King's ability to operate freely.

Mai Izawa becomes entangled in the conflict when King's allies target people close to Yuu. An attempt to use Mai Izawa against Yuu turns the confrontation intensely personal.
