Keiji

Keiji is loyal, blunt, impatient, and easily angered by enemies he regards as traitors. After Annie encases herself in crystal, he furiously strikes the surface while demanding that she answer for what she has done.

He also reprimands Eren when the younger soldier ignores orders, indicating little hesitation about confronting someone with Titan powers if military discipline requires it.

Keiji's bluntness can make him insensitive. He casually describes Ymir as abnormal while speaking beside Eren, apparently giving little thought to how another Titan shifter might interpret the wording.

Despite his temper, Keiji is technically cautious. When Erwin orders explosives used against the Female Titan, Keiji immediately points out that the blast could kill the human hidden inside the nape.

Keiji is an experienced ODM combatant who survives several major Survey Corps engagements.

He participates directly in attempts to kill Titans attracted to the Female Titan during the Forest of Giant Trees operation and is credited with at least one individual Titan kill.

Keiji also has experience preparing explosives, guarding prisoners, conducting covert surveillance, and supporting Titan-transformation experiments.

His status as a ranking officer reflects reliability across tasks beyond straightforward combat.

Keiji first becomes prominent during the attempt to capture the Female Titan. Erwin orders him to prepare explosives designed to remove the Titan's hands from its protected nape.

He later participates in the Stohess operation and responds angrily when Annie prevents interrogation by crystallizing herself.

During the Wall Rose crisis, Keiji joins Hange's reinforcements at Utgard Castle and later fights the Colossal Titan after Bertolt's identity is exposed.

He survives that confrontation and continues serving in Hange's group during the Royal Government conflict.

While monitoring the transport of Eren and Historia, Keiji is ambushed by Kenny Ackerman's Anti-Personnel Control Squad and shot in the head.

Hange Zoe is Keiji's Fourth Squad commander and assigns him technical and combat duties.

Eren Yeager is a younger soldier Keiji occasionally reprimands for disobeying orders.

Annie Leonhart becomes the target of Keiji's anger after her identity as the Female Titan is exposed.
