Kaiser Granvorka

Kaiser is humble, polite, honorable, and unusually modest for a Magic Knight captain. He dislikes standing out and does not appear driven by the fierce competitive pride common among several other squad leaders.

His willingness to return from retirement and lead the Purple Orcas reflects a strong sense of responsibility. The squad's reputation suffers badly under Gueldre, and Kaiser accepts the position primarily for the sake of the remaining members.

He also responds calmly to disappointing results. When the Purple Orcas place near the bottom of the squad rankings, Kaiser shows none of the explosive anger seen from captains such as Mereoleona.

Kaiser uses Vortex Magic, creating spiraling fields of mana that deflect, dissipate, or redirect other magic.

Area Helix produces a large spherical vortex capable of holding back enormous threats while allowing allied mages inside the barrier to contribute mana to its maintenance.

His defensive specialization earns him the title Kingdom's Ultimate Shield. The technique is particularly effective because it does not simply endure hostile magic; the vortex actively interferes with and dissipates it.

As a captain, Kaiser possesses immense magical power. After elf possession, he retains some of the enhanced mana associated with the reincarnated elf.

Kaiser becomes captain of the Purple Orcas after Gueldre is exposed as a traitor and removed from office. Julius Novachrono relies on the retired veteran to stabilize the squad.

He appears publicly at the Star Awards Festival before later becoming involved in the Elf Reincarnation crisis.

Kaiser becomes the vessel of an elf and fights Fuegoleon Vermillion in the Shadow Palace. Fuegoleon's return with Salamander provides the power needed to overcome Kaiser's amplified Vortex Magic.

After the elf crisis, Kaiser continues leading the Purple Orcas. During the Spade Kingdom conflict, he remains in Clover and helps defend the capital when an ancient demon attacks.

His Area Helix, reinforced by his squad, temporarily stops the demon's advance before the creature overwhelms their combined defense.

Gueldre Poizot is Kaiser's disgraced predecessor as captain of the Purple Orcas.

Julius Novachrono asks Kaiser to return from retirement and take command after Gueldre's removal.

Fuegoleon Vermillion fights the elf possessing Kaiser during the Elf Reincarnation crisis.

Salamander provides Fuegoleon with the Spirit Magic power used to overcome Kaiser's amplified defenses.
