Johnny Takeyama

Johnny is aggressive, impulsive, vindictive, and accustomed to intimidating people through violence. He reacts furiously when Azuma interferes with his harassment of a woman and takes the resulting defeat personally enough to pursue supernatural power for revenge.

Despite his delinquent behavior, Johnny is not entirely without attachments. He cares about his mother and is frustrated by his inability to provide things for her, while his companions regard him as rough but genuinely attached to his family and friends.

His pride is one of his most obvious weaknesses. Becoming a Choujin gives him enough confidence to confront Azuma again, but the power does little to improve his judgment.

As the Flexi Choujin, Johnny can make his body extraordinarily soft, elastic, and extensible. His limbs and neck can stretch over considerable distances, giving him unconventional reach and allowing his body to contort into forms impossible for an ordinary human.

The same elasticity provides resistance to conventional blunt attacks. His body can deform around impacts that would badly injure an ordinary person.

Like other Choujin, Johnny possesses access to Raise, allowing severe injuries to be repaired through the Choujin regenerative process.

Johnny first encounters Tokio and Azuma while harassing a woman with his gang. Tokio calls Azuma for help, and Azuma defeats the group with ease, breaking Johnny's arms in the process.

Afterward, Johnny receives Choujin-producing syringes from a mysterious masked figure. He returns seeking revenge, this time possessing a flexible Choujin body that makes Azuma's ordinary martial arts much less effective.

The attack forces Tokio and Azuma to consider using the remaining injections themselves. Tokio's resulting transformation into a Beast Choujin begins the central story.

Johnny is later interrogated by the masked supplier about the people who used the remaining syringes. After realizing that cooperating will not necessarily save him, he refuses to provide further useful information and is killed.

Tokio Kurohara becomes one of Johnny's enemies after intervening in his gang's harassment. Johnny's return as a Choujin directly triggers Tokio Kurohara's own transformation.

Azuma Higashi humiliates Johnny by defeating him before he becomes a Choujin. Johnny subsequently seeks revenge against Azuma Higashi with his newly acquired power.

Batista Hoshi is connected to the Choujin-producing drug Johnny receives. After Johnny's defeat, Batista interrogates him about the remaining syringes and ultimately kills him.
